Singapore, 21 July 2014 – Beautex, Singapore's No. 1 local facial tissue brand, launches a series of limited edition tissue boxes for charity. These feature winning artworks from six primary school students who won in their respective class categories at the sixth annual Beautex Life's Beautiful Art Competition.

Beautex's Life's Beautiful Art Competition, an annual event first launched in 2009, is aimed at encouraging Singapore's local primary school children to express themselves through imaginative and creative works of art.

The winning artworks are then printed on limited edition Beautex tissue boxes and sold in packs of five boxes ($5.50), with 20 cents being donated to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (SPMF) for every pack sold.

Last year, Beautex garnered overwhelming public support and raised over $26,000 for SPMF. This year, they hope to surpass that amount to enable SPMF to provide financial aid for children from lower-income families in Singapore.

Mr Richard Sim, Vice President of Tipex Pte Ltd says, "Support for the Beautex Life's Beautiful Art Competition has been growing year-on-year and we're very much encouraged by it. We seek the public's continued support for this worthy cause in helping better the lives of many underprivileged children across the island."

Says 9-year old Chng Ya Xuan Renee, 1st prize winner from Category A (Keming Primary School – P3), "I love drawing because I can express myself through art. I'm extremely happy and excited that I won! I am also happy that my art can help to raise funds for less fortunate children. Thank you Beautex for the fun and meaningful experience!"

Limited edition Beautex tissue boxes are available in supermarkets, hypermarkets, convenience and general trade outlets islandwide.
